This little painting has a lovely chunky solid look and I like the way it can be displayed propped on a shelf or framed, whatever you like. I painted it with acrylics on gessoed MDF board, which provided a beautiful smooth surface to work the detail. I shall spray varnish all the surfaces, including the back for complete protection.
